Artificial Sweetners????

Do things like equal and diet soda have any negative effects on the body, from a bodybuilding aspect? How about during cutting? I am about to start a AS cutting stack, and i want to get my diet a perfect as possible. But dam, equal and a dash of cinimon sure do make oatmeal taste better, and a little diet icetea sure is good to wash down the taste of the other nasty foood i got to eat.
