Something to know before everyone starts saying that steroids killed this guru. THEY PROBABLY DID, but as I have said before, there are reasons why people like this end up unhealthy. First off Dan Duchaine deserves credit where credit is due. He helped the bodybuilding community for many years, and was well educated. However, he himself admitted many times that he only knew what books and self experimenation had proven. He had great knowledge, but ABUSED drugs BIGTIME. In "PUMP" magazine Dec`'98, he talks about the kind of dosing he used to do. Hmmmmm, with all those drugs I wonder why he looked so natural? Anyway, in this uncensored interview, he talks about having a heart attack which he blamed from steroid abuse. He then continues to talk about the steroids he is currently on, 25mg Dbol a day, and equipoise. I said it when I first read it and I will say it again. Why would someone who already had a heart attack take the chance to start using steroids again? Especially high androgenic c-17 roids. I greatly respect Dan Duchaine in many ways, but if you read about all the chances he took over his life time, it does not suprise me that he has died so young. This is the problem with whats going on in the bodybuilding community today. Everyone thinks that it is total drugs that will give you these olympian physiques. The truth is that although many bodybuilders out there are using, there are also many bodybuilders who have used very little or nothing at all, and still are able to grow better then most who are taking high doses of the drugs. Take a look at Duchaines physique. For someone to have used as much as he did, and the amounts he did, it shows it is'nt just drugs. Try to learn from his mistakes. I feel that the bodybuilding world has suffered a great loss, and I just hope that the media does'nt run with this and not tell the whole story surrounding his death. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. This is a terrible tragedy and I am very sorry to hear this.
