Here are the cons to doing bussiness with checks just so that you guys know:
1) I'd probably want to get bad check insurance
2) it will add to the time it takes to process orders - we're probably looking at 2--maybe 3--weeks between when you order and when you get the goods anyway
3) Since I'm in college right now, the address you send your checks to will be changing every so often--this isn't a big issue, but something you should be aware of
Also there would be certain times during the year (vacations, moving periods, etc) where I wouldn't be able to get your orders.
This is why I was kind of leaning towards plastic, but if the demand is for lower costs over higher convenience then checks it is. The more input on this the better so interested parties are encouraged to express their view points on this issue. Credit cards can always be left as an option for later...
