The best product to eliminate water is Lasix (furosemide). But it's a potent diuretic, wich will lower your blood pressure (sometimes suddenly), and will deplete your bodily potassium levels. In this case, along with Lasix you should take some potassium supplement. You also might try those 'herbal teas' sold OTC in many places. The effects can vary from plant to plant and from person to person (for me they don't work very well - I still prefer Lasix), but they usually have a mild diuretic effect, wich doesn't impair your workout routine. Puritan's Pride sells a product called 'Water Pills' wich is a blend of diuretic plants plus a supplement of potassium. The product doesn't work very well for me, but it is unexpensive, and the potassium is good. Your liquid intake has only a secondary link to water retention. Either water retention is linked to excess of body fat (a cell, in order to accumulate fat, also accumulate some water) or as a side-effect of some drugs (like some heavy roids). So your beer intake probably is doing much more to your (eventual) fat accumulation than for water retention. The steady increase of blood pressure is a sure indicator of water accumulation. In case of doubt, taking liquid is still a better approach than not taking it at all, because you would end up having a dehydratation. If you eliminate the case of water retention (excess of fat and/or exogenous drugs) your body will naturally eliminate the excess of water.
