: : I bet everybody got gas when they first started taking metformin and your stomach fet like it was going to blow?!! That's because the inhibition of the glucose uptake in the small intestine causes the sugar to be dumped into the large intestine where the bacteria take over and create gas! That's the mechanism of inhibition. The mech of insulin sensitivy works regardless of what time you take the metformin with food. The inhibition work WHEN you take the metformin. I thought it was great and I got leaner than ever, but I NEVER took met with my post workout carb/prot drink! Anarchy in the USA!

: Animal....when should one take the Metformin when
: taking creatine/dextrose in order((if it is possible))
: to get better results??????????

If you work out in the evening take the met in the am with breakfast. One with lunch then take the next met 1.5 hrs after you load a carb/pro drink immediately after your workout. That's when I would take the creatine dose for the day. The creatine may be similiar enough in form to glucose or sugar or glucose polymer to be inhibited by the metformin and that's why people are having trouble loading. I think that after it has been worn off by a meal would then be the time to take the creatine. Anarchy in the USA! The insulin sens lasts but the inhibition seems to get used up.
