I workout (weights and cardio) four to five times a week, usually two hours each session. In the past I've been able to do two body parts for two of my workouts and then single on the other days (chest/tri's, back/biceps, shoulders, legs). But lately I do a killer first half and then I end up quitting half way through the second body part b/c its half ass. Yesterday I had an awesome chest workout but was only able to do to two sets for my triceps. I reach back to get that extra 'umph' to continue but its not there! And then I get aggravated at myself since my workout isn't everything it should be. I've been training like this for about four months now. My diet is fine and sure, I could always use some more sleep, but do you think its over training? I'm worried to take some time off though - I don't want to lose what has taken me so much time to gain!||63.251.252.4||reg|| Z||000001||Fitnes1||08-09-2000||04:01 PM||angelac@utk.edu||A few signs of overtraining:

Pain in joints, loss of sleep or too much sleep, loss of appetite, lack of desire to train, headaches, just that "achy" feeling

It will not hurt you to take a week off although some people may require more time off. I have to do this a couple of times a year. To be quite honest, it helps me to make gains in my performance both in/out of the gym.

first week do chest then tri's, then the following week do tri's then chest... It works for me!! As far as overtraining, just listen to your body and take a few days off if you need to ||152.163.195.214||reg||
