Add a vinyl group instead of the ester and you get norethindrone (ie. 17-alpha ethynl 19-nortestosterone).  A few mg of this goes into Ortho-novum... an oral contraceptive.  <P>The primo almost goes un-noticed.  <P>Put it this way:  when the World Health Organization was testing androgens as a reversible 'male' contraceptive, they found that 30 mg/day of oral methenolone acetate doesn't materially affect sperm counts.  <P><p>[This message has been edited by Artemis (edited August 09, 2000).]||131.104.100.178||reg||
