I said i was gonna start training harder and i have. Wednesday was leg day and worked em really good (am). Then later that night i did about 50-60 lunges. They were a little sore but of course yesterday they were frickin killin me. Last night my baby put some bengay on them and i was planning on going to the gym this morning to do my usual cardio. They might be sore as shit but i know once i start the cardio the pain usually goes away. Anyway my boyfriend advised against getting up and doing cardio -- says it will just make them stay sore longer and delay the healing of the muscles; but i've heard before that its ok to go ahead with cardio. So does this mean everytime i'm sore i have to avoid cardio until the soreness subsides somewhat? Or is it ok to do the cardio? Sorry - this is something i should already know ||24.92.209.24||reg|| Z||000001||litloak||07-14-2000||12:47 PM||litloak@wildmail.com||I know that if there is one body part of mine that ends up hurting the most and for the longest time after being worked out it's my legs. I usually whimp out and just hobble along for a walk in the morning instead of a jog until a couple of days later when my legs start feeling "human" again. I DID try something one time that totally amazed me. I heard that Muscle Meals was supposed to be really great stuff and that you could get a free sample at ironmanmagazine.com. Well, tell me something is free and I am right there! I got the stuff in the mail and decided to put it to the test. I put my legs through one heck of a workout all the while praying that this MM stuff was all it was cracked up to be or I wouldn't be walking for a week! I knocked it back after my workout, tasted pretty good. The next morning I felt absolutely fine. Later that evening (I work out at 8:30pm) my legs started to feel a little stiff, but nothing AT ALL like I expected them to! I was truly amazed. I guess the fats in the mix (and I believe they are the healthy fats) are what do the trick. I have nothing to gain from getting you interested in MM so I'm not trying to sell you anything. I was just SO impressed with the stuff, especially for "legs day" that I just have to share this info with you. ||208.16.252.61||reg|| Z||000002||Iron God||07-14-2000||12:53 PM||irongod@hushmail.com||You should try a deep tissue massage the day after heavy legs, it hurts like hell but it busts up lactic acid pockets and speeds recovery, also stretching the day of and day after will help.

Plus, massages (not talking about typical relaxation-type) improve circulation, muscle separation, and allow the fascia to be released.

I sometimes can't take in a whole pkg of an MRP, but this one was ok. Also, be sure to strectch the muscles you are working A LOT!||208.16.252.61||reg|| Z||000006||FitnessChick||07-14-2000||01:14 PM||fitnesschick@hushmail.com||Yeah, Irongod is notorious for insisting he massage my legs the day after a hard leg workout...let me tell you its not fun.....I sound like someone is torturing me, but it does wonders for recovery......||209.236.133.210||reg|| Z||000007||markkemax||07-14-2000||01:30 PM||www.eakerlance@hotmail.com||Try a cold whirlpool right after the leg work out. It slows down the micro bleeding inside the muscles (decreases the size of the hemotoma and you increase healing time) and speeds the recovery.

I admit I have been there, but it's usually when my diet is lacking or I don't get enough rest that week.

As i posted in your thread (beginners&steriods) i have discovered or better way to put it "decided to admit" that i have been majorly slacking with my workout's. My diet has been clean and i have gotten at least 7hours of sleep each night. My legs were in extreme pain and it is because i used machines i've never used before and done exercises i've never done before. I am steppin up my routin cause i have been taking it to easy for too long. I'm sure they won't continue to be that sore after every workout, once i get used to a routine but you know if you haven't REALLY worked out legs in a month or so they are going to be extremely sore. I've just been a slacker and now i'm ready to kick ass. ||152.163.213.176||reg|| Z||000012||Caesar||07-17-2000||01:27 PM||||Miss Galaxy: I hear ya. Even if I miss one leg workout and then pick it up the following week, I'm more sore than usual.

BTW, I know you look Italian ... are you actually from Italy?
