I've never posted here before, but here goes. My wife is an OB-GYN doctor. She abhors my desire to do a cycle of AS. I've read a lot about it and feel fairly well informed. I've waited a long time (i'm in my thirties, thinking about it since college). If done right, I don't see how I'll be hurting my liver (booze and regular vitamins at GNC have to be processed through the liver and can "hurt" it). Its merely something to use to supplement one's body, in my opinion. I'm only 175 pounds and would like to be 200. There's no BB competition I'm training for. I'll never be huge and that's fine. She has breast implants which she got a decade ago, and is going to replace with new ones, and she likes them just fine (that's just another supplement to one's body). We've had our kids, so if things down there shrink a bit, so what. However, I refuse to take them until I can get her to agree its OK, because it is an important decision that should be make by both persons. I don't know how to argue my case - any suggestions from y'all??????? I can't ask this on the other boards, because I'm sure I'll get a slew of answers revolving around force or secrecy, a road I will not take.

I was able to get a copy through www.qfac.com. I think I understand your mindset as I went through the same logical process ...and personally don't see that there is any fundamental difference between using using vitamin supplements: your mucking with your body chemestry either way right?

Get a copy. I think you'll like the material and she should read it too. I know for a fact that personnel in the medical industry are literally brainwashed into the mindset that pharmaceuticals are too dangerous for the feable minded layman and best monitored by the goverment and large pharmaceutical companies.||129.80.22.140||reg|| Z||000002||Artemis||06-01-2000||02:20 PM||huntress@operamail.com||Ask yourself:

Does she prescribe/use oral contraceptives?

No, I don't want any -just pointing out that a double-standard might exist here if she does, and that you might delve into this a twee bit. Hint: the 'pill' is a mixture of 17aa Steroids... look for yourself. And not all preparations that you might use yourself need be liver toxic at all. ||131.104.100.164||reg|| Z||000003||GearHead WannaBe||06-01-2000||04:11 PM||||Thanks for the replies. You're correct. Drugs are a very inelastic good - that means people will pay whatever price to have them, and its extremely valuable to "own" an industry (i.e., control by gov't and a few large firms) which sells inelastic goods. Thanks also for the tip on contraceptives. I'm sure she'll say they're legal and the legal system says AS are no good, but its worth a shot. Perhaps if I compared the price of all the BS supplements one can buy OTC that do little good, and discuss the emotional motivation one might get from a first cycle ever (in terms of eating better, working out harder, devoting time to the task, etc.,) this might also be persuasive. Thanks again...||12.26.184.111||reg|| Z||000004||WarLobo||06-02-2000||10:34 AM||warlobo@operamail.com||I'm glad you taking the time to include your wife in this decision. You may have to accept the fact that the cost of using are just to high in terms of your relationship, monetary concerns, and it's legal status - which is on par with crack.... If your not going to compete or try to make a living off your body, i.e. modeling or sports, then this is just a hobby. Cause lets face it, if you do decide to use and she knows, you could put her at risk in terms of the law.

Just some things to think about.

I dont know what your routine and caloric intake is now but maybe that should be your first try. I went through a similar situation with my husband who is 6'3 and has a difficult gaining mass as well. When I first met him he weighed 190 and now weighs 255. But since we have been together he eats seven times a day, a multitude of protein and mass building shakes, supplements and works out dedicately. Our grocery and supplement bill is quite large as a result but it is worth it. It is difficult for him but in order to pursue his career he must remain natural or risk that part of his life. He is an inspiration to me and is always researching all the sites, magazines to increase his gains. This may be an alternative for you. Good luck!!||152.163.205.19||reg|| Z||000006||MS||06-12-2000||09:58 PM||mad.scientist55@hushmail.com||I hope you keep what fitchic said in mind. Sometimes I look at how much I've improved myself naturally, and then I think about you guys with at least 10 times as much Test (naturally) floating around. If I'm pre-menstral I sometimes think guys that juice recreationally are all a pack of lazy, greedy self-centered wannabes. 10 times the test and no PMT!! Just train, eat, sleep , train and grow grow grow. But I'm not pre-menstrual at the moment so I apologise for ever having those thoughts GearHead and WarLobo (or whoever else might take offence). I know that guys in their 30's start to lose their edge (just when women BB's are coming into their prime) and it must be mighty tempting to look buff for a few more years.

Surely if you can bring your wife around to your point of view, then she could prescribe you some legit gear to get around the illegal issue. If I could write my loved-ones scripts, there's no way I would let them use something from the black market. Would she take black market birth control pills and run the risk of them being fake?

And no offence taken MS, I waited till I was like 33 and finally said what the heck. Sure is nice just sitting on the couch eatting Ho Ho's and building huge muscles... wait, is this the fun thread?

But more to the point, gains can be made naturally and I will ALWAYS try to sway someone to stay ala natural if they are not prepared to accept ALL the consequences. And this includes the family. On the other hand you only go round this way once....
