It seems to be on the up and up as far as it's quality...however, I have a couple of concerns about it. The first one is its safety. It's been shown through some research that pancreatic hormones can begin releasing almost as soon as sugary carbs are put into your mouth. With that being said, the lipopeptide-y would definitely prevent the carbs from being assimilated as stored bodyfat, but it wouldn't stop the heavy toll taken on the pancreas by sugary foods. So the health issue remains. The other problem I have with it is that it is pretty expensive. Last time I checked it was nearly 40 bucks for 30 capsules...and each capsule only blocks about 100 kcals (25 grams) of carbs! That means that you'd have to take at least 4 caps if you had a heavy meal of carbs...and that number can really add up if you take into account what most americans are eating.
If you can find it at a discount for about 25 bucks a bottle then the price would justify the benefit...2 bottles a month would mean that you could eat dessert with one meal every day without the fat being stacked on...but that's only theoretical.
If you want my advice (I know advice is cheap, so please don't be offended if I give a little), I'd take 200 mg of alpha lipoic acid with each meal...you'll save a ton of dough compared to the lipo-y and it is also very healthy for you too. I do agree with the ALA, I have been using that stuff for awhile, I just thought this stuff sounds interesting if it really does work. I thought it might be nice to go out to eat once in awhile and pop a few of these and not feal guilty.
