If you want to gain freekish size then go with gear. Diet also has a very big role in bodybuilding. If you aren't training regularly and if your diet is bad, don't bother buying supplements. You'll just be wasting your money.

Protein shake---about 30 grams of protein between breakfast and lunch.

Protein shake---about 30 grams between lunch and dinner (about 2:30 pm)

Protein shake---after my workouts---50 grams of protein, 100 grams of maltodextrin, and 10 grams of extra glutamine. Take some vitamin C or alpha lipoic acid with this post workout shake.
