Seems like these products may have some promise.||64.41.50.29||reg|| Z||000001||BEEFY171||04-20-2000||04:39 PM||sjwchicago@hotmail.com||I am on day three with the ZMA and the Ribose. I feel much more rested i think it is from the ZMA though it really does put me to sleep. Also, there have been some clinical reports from universitities that turned favorable results, the ribose i am unsure of at this time, it is expensive tho.||216.230.75.154||reg|| Z||000002||BackDoc||04-20-2000||05:16 PM||||First off, I don't want this to sound like the X-Files. But I feel very strongly about this subject.
Every man in this country needs to be taking the ingredients in ZMA. I was provided with a document recently that was supposed to be kept under wraps concerning testosterone levels of men in this country. 20 years ago the normal testosterone level in men (grouped by age) was 10% higher than what is normal for age today. That means our testosterone levels are falling. From what? Who knows! I've seen some reports that our tap water contains estrogen that never got filtered at water treatment plants. How did the estrogen get there? Women taking estrogen pills (birth control and post-menopause hormone replacement therapy). Apparently the water treatment plants are ineffective at removing it. Some might then say "well that doesn't affect me because I drink bottled water". But do you take your showers with bottled water? Most likely not. If you are like the rest of us who shower with tap water, we are breathing in the steam...and it's also absorbing through our skin.

Take ZMA in addition to vitamins, minerals, antioxidants (especially alpha lipoic acid because it also binds to heavy metals in the body and carries them out), and the ZMA. Be safe and healthy. Remember, knowledge is the best weapon in the war against illness (and chemicals).||63.36.159.34||reg|| Z||000003||TheBadGuy||04-20-2000||05:46 PM||||Wow backdoc, i guess we better get our asses on some ZMA. Just to let everyone know, i went down to the supp store today to pick up some Designer Protein and guess what they added to it......ZMA! I think this basically proves that ZMA must be good if the best selling protein is adding it into their formula. Might as well give it a shot.||152.163.206.193||reg|| Z||000004||eagledude||04-21-2000||06:15 PM||||i am starting on zma today||63.254.236.149||reg|| Z||000005||d1734||04-21-2000||08:01 PM||d1734@yahoo.com||ZMA is a complete scam. it is no better than any other zinc/magnesium supplement. if you feel the need to waste your money, go right ahead. even members of Biotest are against ZMA. different people have interestes in particular products, and a couple of the guys who have interests in Androsol and MD6 don't even know why Biotest continues to sell ZMA. probably the most over hyped bunch of bullshit since HMB.

but ill save the extra $20 a month or so, do what you will with yours.||24.31.114.84||reg|| Z||000006||BackDoc||04-21-2000||09:25 PM||||It might be a scam in the sense that it really doesn't boost testosterone levels beyond what is otherwise normal, I agree. I'm sure that by simply buying the individual ingredients that you'd get the same effects. I think the price (when I checked) for the elements bought separately runs about 17 dollars. I buy Z-Max from Max Muscle for 19 dollars. So it really isn't that much of a cost issue as it is an issue of conveniency (8 or 10 capsules separately compared to only 3).
I guess the issue of whether it boosts t levels to the point that the research article states (what was it, like 800% or something?) is ridiculous and would be possible only in severe cases of zinc deficiency. But since the discovery of the report, I'm taking no chances with my ability to reproduce properly. Until they prove otherwise that these ingredients don't affect t levels then I'll take every precaution possible. I guess I should have clarified that it's not a very effective mass builder, but rather is insurance that your own body is properly functioning--given that there is an apparent chemically-induced decline in natural t levels (which again is no big shocker when you think about the increase in infertility rates). I dunno. Seems odd to me that the gov't would want to fix this problem since infertility clinics could give them a chance to "do with our bodies as they will". But I'm not trying to be Mr. Conspiracy here, just trying to be healthy and careful.

Here's a cool quote that might be relevant to this discussion of declining t levels.:

"No one really cares, or takes the time to inquire about the nature of things happening around them until is too late...until it happens to them."||63.36.158.239||reg|| Z||000007||Primo_man||04-23-2000||11:54 PM||primo_man007@musclefitness.com||Good responeses!!! Would taking just regular magnesium and zinc produce the same effects??? What about Ribose???||64.41.50.82||reg|| Z||000008||decadon||04-24-2000||06:34 PM||||primo man....no...the aspartate makes the chemicals moe boioavailable...d1734 ZMA is good shit....by the way...have you actually taken it...probably not...there are so many environmental things that lower test...like backdoc said and also any one that uses an antiperspirant....you need ZMA because aluminum fucks up your magnesium content....||148.137.30.190||reg|| Z||000009||d1734||04-28-2000||05:26 AM||d1734@yahoo.com||decadon: i realize that zinc and magnesium are important, but im sure i get enough in my diet. probably several 100% rda of each. just in case i bought twinlab magnesium, extremely cheap. i dont think ZMA is worthless, just a bit overpriced and overhyped.||24.31.114.84||reg|| Z||000010||RideHard||05-08-2000||06:32 PM||ridehard@hushmail.com||RDA??! What joke. The RDA for vitaim C is 80mg, any less than 40mg and you can contract scurvy. ZMA does exactly what it claims to do. It supports you natural Test levels. For the price its a good bet.
What Im curious about is the doseage, EAS says you should take 8 caps a day while twinlab and everyone else say 3 before bed.
But for $15.00 a month its worth it.
