does lamb and lamb chops have about the same amount of protein and a steak...if so why is it so unpopular..i had it the other nite and it was damn good

i think meat is meat. All have amino acids just in different proportions, and grams of protein per pound. But I've tried eating lamb before, it's one of the most fattiest meats i've ever seen, next to duck. Ducks are damn good, so is lamb but they fat like crazy. The fat is everywhere and hard to take off.

Obviously, the protein content in a piece of animal flesh will be determined by the "marbling" or fat content of the flesh. Lamb does seem to be a bit fatty. Lamb isn't popular in the US because of the beef industry domination and the gamey taste that most Americans don't like. When prepared correctly, I think its great.
