Want to jump on the ever popular Flax Seed Oil wagon but can't find it anywhere in England (down south).
Danielson or any others know where I can source this stuff, or what can I use to substitute? Cheers!

Soooooooooo........ why can't you get Flax Seed Oil here? Or is LINSEED the same thing?
Do they have the same effect as each other?

Try going to: www.proteinfactory.com/

Flax seed oil, and linseed oil are not the same. Flax seed oil, is far superior. Do a search on this board. I believe it was discussed a couple of months ago.

Hey Pants,
I live in the UK too, I use UDO's Choice which is the best source of EFAs. You can find it from GNC or other good health stores. You can't order it online because it has to be refrigerated all the time, so as soon as you buy it, quickly run home and stick it in your fridge.
Cheers mate

sorry about the late reply, only got home at 11pm

i believe you get linseed oil from flax seeds (odd considering i paste that stuff onto cricket bats -but i know little else about the matter)

try looking for flax seeds, crush 'em and munch em, or for linseed oil in holland and barret or any health food shop you can find.

why do you want flax seed oil in particular. i know its a good source of EFA's but aren't fish body oils, and green lipped mussel extract. or do they give fishy breath? i can't remember if i posted the link but im ordering these 2 of saga. they're recommended by 'help the aged' so reputable.
www.saga.co.uk

worst comes to the worst, and i'm not sure they do 'em, try "work out world", its literally by embankment station on the undergound. they sell glutamine and all that, i never checked for flax but they sell supplements. not sure how down south you are tho

hope this helps

The reason I want Flax Seed Oil is because everyone seems to be ranting on about how great it is. "one of the top 5 supplements".
Just wanted to give it a try. Is it better for cutting or bulking?
In which way is Flax "superior" to Linseed?

Udos choice is omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids in the correct ratio, which makes them synergistic, much like ECA.

So what will it do for me? Does it have the same effects as reported by Flaxseed Oil users?

Better effects, because it's a complete blend of essential oils.

Just returned from a GNC store in London and found Flax Oil! At last! Costs 7.50 a bottle.
Will the tablespoon a day suggested be too much? Contains 14g per serving!! Ouch!
Plenty of wicked EFA's though!

i just read that flax oil is actualy too rich in omega 3 and may affect omega 6 intake. not sure how much truth there is but the article said not to take too much!

a pamphlet called 'fats that heal, fats that kill' by Dr Udo Erasmus (hes a pHD in nutrition)

it was just saying dont take loads of flax and remember to take other fats (that contain omega 6). u can take it but just not too much, just stick to their recommended dosage. he was just reminding that u should stick to wot they say!

Yeah,
Well Dr Udo makes a brand of oil which is a rival/ competition to the Flax Oils out there. So he would say that eh?
