Hello all - strapping newby here

I've heard/read (don't remember) that the body can only process a finite amount of protein at any one sitting/time period because of limited amount of enzymes involved in the digestion/absorption of protein.

Can anyone comment and share more info?

Thanks

I've heard the maximum at one meal is about 40 - 50 grams. Any good MRP has at least 40 grams. Who knows if the body uses it all.

I think it also depends on your body size. There's no way you can compare the absorbtion level of a 250 pound man to a 175 pound man, especially depending on training levels which directly affect metabolism; which is the rate which food gets absorbed and broken down in the body.

I know because of intense training and frequent eating, my metabolism is very fast because I'm alway hungry from 2 to 3 hours after eating. Hope this helps.
