Dr. Field Farrar, Founder of TestStackRx.com here. Yesterday I sent you a profile of a weight-loss drug you could stack with my new drug Anorectant No.10. Today I'm profiling one weight-loss drug that cannot<\/em> be stack with Anorectant No.10<\/a> because both combined would be over stimulating. Before I get into the details about this drug - Qsymia,<\/p>\n

*** Important to remember, Qsymia, unlike the other two diet drugs Qsymia and Contrave, CANNOT be stacked with Anorectant N.10. ***<\/p>\n

What is Qsymia?<\/h2>\n

Qsymia is a combination of two drugs; the stimulant phentermine and the anti-seizure drug topiramate, which are in an extended - release capsule. While it has helped people with extreme cases of obesity, lose weight, this is one drug I would not recommend. Despite being approved by the FDA in 2012, this drug has some serious side-effects that I'll get into later.<\/p>\n

Have you ever taken Adderall? If you have, you know it's an amphetamine. And you\u2019ve probably noticed that while on it you really don't have much of an appetite. Phentermine which sounds like amphetamine works the same way. It is an appetite suppressant that has been around for a long time.<\/p>\n

Phentermine is a stimulant similar to an amphetamine. Like Anorectant No.10, it acts as an appetite suppressant by affecting the central nervous system. Topiramate, the other drug in Qsymia is a seizure medication, also called an anticonvulsant [2].<\/p>\n

Since the phentermine is an appetite suppressant, it is thought to trigger the release of the chemical norepinephrine in the brain, which increases blood concentrations of leptin. Leptin is an appetite - regulating hormone. Since this is one of the effects that Anorectant No.10 also promotes in your body, you cannot stack these two drugs. It would be overkill, and you would just be wasting your money.<\/p>\n

Does it work?<\/h3>\n

A study funded by Vivus, Inc found that obese patients taking Qsymia lost an average of 22 pounds over a year while also lowering their blood pressure and cholesterol levels. \u00a0In a placebo-controlled clinical trial, those who took Qsymia lost an average of 8.9% versus those taking the placebo. \u00a0Seventy percent of those taking Qsymia lost at least 5% of their body weight compared to only 20% of those on the placebo. As stated in previous profiles. Even though some prescription diet drugs work and help you lose weight, the majority come with serious side effects. Qsymia is a particular drug with side-effects too numerous to overlook. Qsymia\u2019s side effects include [6]:<\/p>\n
