The fact that certain groups of AAS consumers have been spared the special opprobrium reserved for sports heroes who fail to serve as proper &quot;role models&quot; for youth demonstrates once again how arbitrary and politically motivated the formulation and enforcement of drug laws can be. One of the remarkable anomalies of the anti-AAS campaign of the past two decades is that it has virtually ignored the many reports of AAS use by police officers in the United States and in other countries. <b><a href=\"\/\/www.elitefitness.com\/go\/meso\/cops\" target=\"_blank\">Read more...<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>May 8, 2005<\/b>- <a href=\"\/\/www.elitefitness.com\/go\/meso\/ephedra\" target=\"_blank\">Ephedra: Interpreting the New Court Ruling by Rick Collins<\/a> - Recently, a federal court in Salt Lake City [U.S. District Court for the District of Utah, Central Division] issued its decision on a legal challenge to FDA&#8217;s 2004 Final Rule banning all ephedrine-alkaloid dietary supplements. Judge Tena Campbell&#8217;s decision made two key points: (1) It held that the analysis used by FDA was incorrect and improper. The court held that requiring supplement companies to demonstrate a benefit as a pre-condition to marketing violated DSHEA by shifting the burden from FDA to industry.
