Gaining fat to lift heavier

What i don't understand is if a guy that's 5'8 and 240lbs with about 60lbs of body fat how he should be able to lift more then someone who is 5'8 and weighs 180-200 with the same amount of lean mass. How does my gut help me lift 30 ...

Gaining fat to lift heavier

Now i understand that being a heavier weight, your body would have to be stronger to go through out daily activities. What i don't understand is if a guy that's 5'8 and 240lbs with about 60lbs of body fat how he should be able to lift more then someone who is 5'8 and weighs 180-200 with the same amount of lean mass. How does my gut help me lift 30 lbs more then my buddy according to these weight to lifting charts on ExRx?

Because muscle loves fat it eats off of it so you gain muscle faster.
