Box squat height

I conveniently have a big, heavy container with a flat top that I could use for box squats. It is about 12 inches in height. I'm 5'8. Does this height seem okay? I have a 19 inch bench that seems too tall - I'm not to parallel when I squat onto it...

Unfortunately I don't have a video camera so you guys can check whether or not the height is okay...

Zander, height isn't as important as proportions. Your Q angle is the angle from your ankle, to the back of your knee (knee crease) to the top of your hip (hip crease). The box should be where your hip crease is parallel to your knee crease (for a parallel box).

I just did some experimenting with just the bar on my back and the 12 inch "box".

I'm going to use it when I start doing box squats. It has me at parallel, as spatts described.
