Sometimes all you can do is just be patient and trust them, no matter how hard it is. Just remember, you have the right to lay down laws, but she's an adult so you have to walk a tricky line. I read something interesting last night, everyone has their own life agenda and no one, not even your parents, have a right to impose their agendas on you, or vice versa, but by the same token, we all deserve respect.
I have a sneaking hunch the both of you are going to be alright, despite the occasional pocket of tubulence
