This cross-cultural interior designer is happy and proud to be living in her own skin.

Born: 8/17/56Occupation: Interior DesignerChildren: daughter (30)Hometown: New York City

Born in the Dominican Republic to parents of Spanish descent, my family and I immigrated to the U.S. when I was 15. I am fluent in Spanish, Italian, and English, skills that have come in handy during my worldwide travels. I attended the New York School of Interior Design, where I received a BFA in Interior Design. Whether reading books about design, French history, or biographies of female role models, I constantly have a book in hand -- I'm a perfect match for my husband, a successful journalist. Having gained experience in design working for various firms, I freelance, decorating mostly residential spaces which provides more of an avenue to include my personal touch. Health, exercise, and spirituality are a way of life for me and a source of inspiration to others; I weight-train, practice yoga, and have always maintained a healthy diet.

Biggest Challenge: The most difficult times for me were when I was working during the day to put myself through school at night.

Inspiration: My husband has been extremely supportive of me in anything I wish to pursue.

Skill: I am very creative, a skill which has manifested itself in my work with interior design and computer graphics.

Smartest Move: I married my second husband one year ago. We had walked past each other for years while walking our dogs around the neighborhood. A friend of mine asked me to check out a house for sale in the neighborhood, and unbeknownst to me, it was the home of my soon-to-be husband. When he saw who had come to look at the house, he invited me for wine, a glass of water, and asked me on a date, saying he had a crush on me since he first saw me on the street. We were married soon thereafter.

Major Change Since 40: I have become completely comfortable with the person that I am, I am proud of my age and of the way I look, and I am true to myself.

Life Philosophy: I strive to be true to myself, naturally followed by being honest and true to others.

Baby, vinpocetine and hydergine helps oxidation of brain cells.
It's not dopaminergic, so it doesn't stimulate, or motivate you, but it does help cognition.
I think you should go with a vinpocitine or hydergine supplement.
    Here is info on Hydergine.

It's a very safe memory supplement.

Hydergine stimulates oxygen flow to the brain, relieving symptoms of deteriorating mental capacity

Hydergine is an ergoloid mesylate (derived from rye) and it has become one of the world's most useful and por ‘smart drugs’. It is known to have all the following effects:

Increase blood supply to the brain.
Increase oxygen delivered to the brain.
    Enhance metabolism of brain cells.
Protect the brain from insufficient oxygen supply.
Slow the deposit of the age pigment lipofuscin in the brain.
Prevent free radical damage to brain cells.
Increase intelligence, memory, learning and recall.
    Oxygen and the brain

Either too much or too little oxygen can upset the balance and generate the production of free radicals, which in turn can lead to aging. One of the major ways in which oxygen generates free radicals is its reaction with unsaturated fats, a process called peroxidation. Brain cells contain more unsaturated fats than any other part of the body, therefore it is our brains that are most susceptible to peroxidation.

    Dosage:
Usual dosages are 2.25mg to 9mg daily, but always build up the doses slowly. We offer hydergine in 4.5mg tablets (which are scored so that half a tablet or 2.25mg can be taken). We also offer a more easily absorbed liquid hydergine, which provides precise titration because dosages of 0.5mg increments can be taken. liquid hydergine is also less likely to cause any stomach upset.

Survector... it helps, focus, uplifting, and silightly aphrodisiatic.
This is from Nootropic guru, David Chalmers...
    A very smart dude.

".....Amineptine (Survector) is a clean-ish, (relatively) selective dopamine reuptake blocker. Higher doses promote dopamine release too. Amineptine is pro-sexual and liable occasionally to cause spontaneous orgasms. It is a mild but pleasant psychostimulant and a fast-acting mood-brightener.

The compound was first synthesized by French pharmaceutical giant Servier. Licensed in France from 1978 under the brand name "Survector" and soon widely marketed abroad, amineptine is a clinically useful antidepressant. Unlike most other tricyclics, it doesn't impair Libido or cognitive function.

Amineptine has a small but non-negligible abuse-potential. Its enjoyable but short-lived psychostimulant effect should be distinguished in clinical practice from its sustained antidepressant action. Arguably all too many contemporary "antidepressants" lack abuse-potential not through superior design or clinical efficacy, but because they aren't any good. The widely prescribed selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), for instance, don't reverse the diminished Libido and lack of interest in sex characteristic of (many kinds of) depression. Instead, SSRIs exacerbate the problem.

Unlike typical stimulants and other activating agents, amineptine may actually improve sleep architecture. Amineptine can be an especially valuable agent for melancholic, anhedonic and unmotivated people whose mood is sometimes worsened by SSRIs. Amineptine is also a useful agent in treating chronic "low grade" depression or dysthymia. There is little evidence of its value in anxious or agitated depression. Anxious depressives may do better on its chemical cousin, tianeptine (Stablon).

Amineptine isn't marketed or licensed in Britain and America. In Europe, too, the medication has been driven onto the pharmaceutical grey market. This is because FDA pressure led to the withdrawal of amineptine's EC product-license early in 1999, causing substantial problems for patients and physicians alike. In early 2005, Servier ceased production of amineptine in Brazil. It is still available in some Uruguayan pharmacies or as a research chemical, but the world-wide famine persists. Amineptine is off-patent, but not cheap. Optimal dosage is variable; but typically 100mg-200mg per day. No exact substitute for amineptine is currently on offer or in prospect...."
