yeah, I'm/ we're very serious, New Beginnings, check it out. It started as a substance abuse group, but it's morphed into more of a mental health place. We have issues that come up on all kinds of things. It basically uses the AA/ NA "rules". I will say we have some EXCELLENT people there, good people.

March issue, and I'll mail it to U. I get like just a small basically article.
Professor Lazarus is an associate editor and well has kinda mentored me for the last 2 years.
While in reality it can be said my take is basically a post modern version dzochen/nyingma/ buddhism, which perception is altered since self is no longer focal point, it does have merit. I'll mail u a copy in March.
The main limitation though is its like calling out fire in a croweded theater, I don't have a solution other than a profound reorientation of mindfullness in our education system.

This is a piece I'm reading right now, had to share.
Knowledge is fundamental to who we are, but routines blind us to knowledge. Conventional knowledge can be seen in the light of possibility for higher knowledge, with which we already have experience. Step by step knowledge could teach us knowledge, We could pursue questions in a new way, not just to accumulate information and ideas, but to learn who we really are and what we can do with our lives.
This knowledge of who we are is the real knowledge we seek. To pursue it, we have to develop our ability to question; We have to find the knowledge within models, visions, and ideals. It all depends on inquiry.

In the history of knowledge, technology has now come to the fore. The result is tom make knowledge constantly change, encouraging us to ignore the past; a further to result is to make knowledge homogenous. But whether this is the best knowledge is open to open to doubt. New possessions, advances in science, or even better health and longer lives may mean little if we lack the knowledge to choose our actions wisely, with a full understanding of their consequences.

The value of the results technological knowledge yields is not a valid question for knowledge. The technological model divides the objective world of reslults frm the subjective world of personal conviction and concern, where knowledge simply does not apply. Since issues of value and meaning, fit into the subjective real, they recede from view as possible subjects knowledge or topics of public discourse. In such circumstances, what is meaningless comes to the fore by default.

LOL, yeah... I got a story or two about a friend of my brothers named Dex, they are still close to this day. Thing is I can relate only too well, cause like I got along with him just fine, however, I did notice that dude was so smart and just interesting that I just wanted to STUDY all the time with him.

He just made me feel smarter being around him ya know? However, one bad side of having such a friend for me anyway and not my brother is that when I was around him I would stop talking to friends, or anyone for that matter because of all the interesting things that this dude would say about books, or anything like that. I guess, its weird to that someone could have such an influence on U that U no longer wanted to talk to other people. Yeah I have a friend just like your professor allright. However, I don't see him anymore, and instead the only person who has that effect is a PHD Pro. named Vergil Lagrimas.

So yeah I can totally relate to having someone guide U and mentor U, and kinda invigorate that quest for knowledge. I just don't wanna become dependent though on people with such powerful personas. However, U take what U can get, ya know?
