I theorize all anthropoligists have never endured ancient subsistence agriculture and I think modern humans exaggerate their trials and tribulations. Name a single United States family that starved to death due to crop failure or died from a plague or commonly cured infections from a minor cut last year...?

Thanks MM - I'll try and get a copy of it. I just got the phonecall at 4:50 pm yesterday The doctor wasnt really blowing me off, I thought he would, but he had horrible bedside manners. I have not found one pedi who actually seems to enjoy and care about children

Wow, can you imagine half of these peeps, myself included getting lost in that 'sea'. I'm moving from a school of transpersonal thought, to analytical social psych. If one is London, the other is Tokyo. If I stated half of my beliefs in the divination practices, I would be an outcast. You have been reading Michael Harner? Heard of him, never read him. I think you would like Mircea Eliade, I'm familiar with his excellent book the Sacred and the Profane, which discusses the role, and evolution of spiritual ritual, and religion. However, his analysis.... of the esoteric, west and east, IMO, is unparalleled. Academically, he is unmatched. I've read 4 of his books, not this one, however... his scholarship on Shamanism spans over 20 years.
Amazon.com: Shamanism: Archaic Techniques of Ecstasy (Bollingen Series (General))…

2 people directly come to mind, One in the Philippines who 'cleaned' up a relatives house. He wouldn't even waste his time trying to understand me. He didnt' speak english. You are right, this period of 'historical time' why would anyone waste their time? Tibet was right in keeping their country technologically un corrupted. The second was a taoist/taichi guru from NYC, I didn't meet him, just read an article based on him. He said the exact same thing. The merited ones who have worked and earned the 'teachings' are more concerned with living in harmony, and staying away from trouble, and well living to be 200+ years old, than passing on to students.
Spiritual teachers have special needs, and in this day and age, since they have transcended common sense, not sure it would make sense to take on students.
Yeah... you got the background, and narrative patterns, and it appears are primed for a transition of 'this type'. Something will appear.

I'll tell her bout your compliments... She's making her way back from elbow ligament surgery. However, she's at double speed recovery, and the orthopedic is impressed.

Okay, I was thinking 'shamanic' in 'general/metaphorical/metaphysical terms', -patterns, not specifics- Your personal narrative/background, seems like rebirth is a theme that has more merit in your life than most. I'm not talking about the details of practice here. Your capacity, and spirit, rather than the 'content divination, or ritual'. This you have down.

oh yeah, Discount Books is the place I check out first! I think you gave it to me couple years ago and now I have become a regular....lol

Oh, girl, I know how it is to work on something, but your heart is somewhere else. As to the too complicated stuff at Kraigs book and other egyptian things - I have never been a fan of things that are way on top ceremonial. I had a guy that I knew from OTO (from back home) and even he agreed that most of the time its the simplest things that are the most powerful....he said that his friend went to woman for I forgot what purpose. She went in the woods, took off her clothes, raised her hands and called - it came.

Thanks for that phone number mama! I am sure to call when I am buying books again - which wont be too long...lol

hey mom.....gotta a question, have you ever personally known anyone who was from the emissaries of the divine light? Do yo know anything about them?
  10. foreigngirl
ohhhh.....thank you, thank you so much! I love my tattoos, more so because they are spiritual to me :-) Thinking of getting another sleeve or maybe a back piece, but I cant decide what I want to ink at either location...lol

Well, few weeks ago I did send a msg that I want to have sales, but not so much for it take away time with the family and personal time from me. So, its working out that way now.

Yes, yes....give me some titles, you know that I am a book freak....I cant pass on it...lol

You know, with Hekate...I actually knew nothing of her. Later on the "coincidences" started playing back in my mind - we moved to a 3 way crossroad; we are the 3rd house from it; I started looking her up for some reason; on Easter she came to my husbands dreams; I have been having flashes of claws, red eyes and dragon head in my meditation which I was scared of; then I came upon a worldwide ritual post to honor her; looked her up in my meditation and she showed up as 3 different persona....well, if THAT didnt spell it out for me, then I dont know what to say...lol

We strive to live in harmony on this world and dream of a time when all of humanity lives in harmony with each other and the world.
