I hear ya girl, I've been battling with her school & been head strong about what I think is best for her, the frist thing they want to do is label the kid & put them in a "special
ED class" I said no, she wanted to stay in her class and she did. I actually homeschooled her for 2 years (K & 1st) This is her 2nd yea in school & it's been quite the shock for me & her, luckily she's adapted pretty well.
Down here the schools are ridiculus, I made a mistake filling out her paperwork when I registered her & they had her taking Spanish classes for spanish speakers & she hardly speaks spanish, she was given work to do that she didn't understand, the school kept telling me "sorry nothing we can do, once you fill out the paperwork, she has to be in spanish class".. poor kid has ADHD & now she's failing a class because she doesn't speak the language.. I went through the channels and had to speak to the bilingual dept in Tallahassee, finally they removed her from the class & erased all her grades.. Oh my, I would homeschool her again, but I know she needs the social interaction.. but I feel like bitc* slapping a few school officials at times !! LOL
