Do I have a hernia?

I was doing heavy leg presses last thursday and while going up I experienced a sharp extreme pain in the area between your waistline and your . That night I felt fine except my right sack was slightly hurting. The next day while in the middle of doing heavy t-bar rows, I experienced the same sharp feeling.

I've heard that if you have a hernia you have like a lumpy spot on your ab area. Or you have a lump on one of your sacks. My stomach area looks completely normal and the sacks feel normal

However it has been about 5 days since the leg press incident, and I still have some slight pain in my right sack.

Will this just go away? thanks

This is something I think you need to have looked at by a doc.. there is no one here that can diagnose wether or not you need medical attention over the net.. See your doctor if it is causing you problems..The pain could also be from a distended . There is no way of knowing.. You need to be examined by a physician..

You can have a hernia with out a lump, especially if it is small, new or if it slips back in (reduces) on its own....

Phreezer is right about possiblity of a injury, and that is not anything to be taken lightly (you could lose a nut!)

It could also just be a strain on the muscle...

I would be safe and go get it looked at... If you do have one the faster you get it fixed the better and you don't want it to get any worse....

i had the same thing, after 2-3 days, it was gone. Mind u that doesn't mean u shouldn't see a doctor. [I live in Canada and most of our good doctors don't live or practice in my province anymore (cause Ralph Klein is and idiot.). So our medical system is "in the door and 30 second triage and your out." What's the point?]

Being a Physician Assistant I would first say go see a doc. Other than that you may have just aggrivated a vericocele in your . All that is, is a vericose vein around your nut. I have one on my left side and it flares up the same way you described. Find a good Urologist in your area and go see him to be sure. Dont worry about it too much though.
