Had my first grappling try last nite with a Gracie student teaching a few people at my gym. Only problem I had transitioning over from a kung fu/akido background was the mat burn on my knees (wore shorts). There is also a fair bit of swelling - but no pain during squatting or walking - for now. Any recommendations on knee sleeves or other preventatives for this problem? Or is this just a 'callous' my knees and body will grow accustom to? Thanks. mek | |
