If i got to bed around 12 midnight, would no carbs after 8PM be the same? Or is it pretty much just the idea to get carbs in your system earlier in the day...

Good food choices for nighttime would be almonds, cottage cheese, meat, eggs, whey and veggies?

"PeptoPro significantly increases the secretion of insulin, resulting in a better utilization of glucose and amino acids by the muscle cells. In fact, the simultaneous delivery of amino acids and insulin provides the perfect foundation for post exercise recovery and muscle growth."

This is the part which I found most interesting. They recommend taking it with either water or fruit juice, which will just replenish liver gylcogen. So peptopro must be pretty effective on its own at replenishing muscle gylcogen if no additional glucose/dextrose is required post-workout.
How is it even possible for a Protein alone to yield such results?

Anyway. I was just wondering if anyone has tried this stuff. If so, did it make any noticeable difference to gains, performance or recovery time?

Yeah I'm serious :D

For dinner most nights I give my 9 month old son a mashed banana or cooked, semi-mashed sweet potato. Is there any reason I couldn't add 1 tsp of super plasma Protein mixed in with his food?

Looking at the labels on his formula which is Natures Best Organic infant formula, the first ingredient is mineral reduced whey. My thought is Protein Factory's Super Plasma Protein is probably a better quality Protein. One teaspoon should mix pretty easily.

Also, what should the Protein intake for infants be around? they are growing so fast, and their formula and food doesn't have much in it.

After a long hiatus, I'm ready to start hitting the gym again. About 6 months ago, I was at about 195 lbs and was lean and strong. Since then, I haven't been working out or eating particularly well. I'm down around 170 lbs now and have softened a bit. I was wondering if I should first go into a caloric deficit to try and cut down on fat and then up the calories to start putting on lean mass. Any advice is appreciated.

I was thinking about maybe cutting out 20% or so off my caloric intake for a month and then upping it to try and climb back towards my ideal size. I'm probably going to do a 40% Protein, 30% carbs, 30% fat breakdown.

Diet Soda, Sodium Tied to Kidney Trouble: Studies
It's more proof that what you eat and drink affects health, researchers say

A diet high in salt or artificially sweetened drinks increases the risk of kidney function decline, two studies show.

"There are currently limited data on the role of diet in kidney disease," researcher Dr. Julie Lin, of Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, said in a news release. "While more study is needed, our research suggests that higher sodium and artificially sweetened soda intake are associated with greater rate of decline in kidney function."

The first study looked at diet and kidney function decline in more than 3,000 women enrolled in the national Nurses' Health Study. The researchers found that "in women with well-preserved kidney function, higher dietary sodium intake was associated with greater kidney function decline, which is consistent with experimental animal data that high sodium intake promotes progressive kidney disease."

The second study looked at the association between sugar- and artificially-sweetened beverages and kidney function decline in the same group of women. The researchers found an association between two or more servings per day of artificially sweetened soda and a two-fold increased risk of faster kidney function decline. There was no connection between sugar-sweetened beverages and kidney function decline.

The association between artificially sweetened beverages and kidney function decline persisted after Lin and colleague Dr. Gary Curhan accounted for other factors, such as age, obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking, physical activity, caloric intake and cardiovascular disease.

Further study is needed to better understand how artificial sweeteners influence kidney function decline, the researchers said.

The studies were to be presented this week at the annual meeting of the American Society of Nephrology, in San Diego.
