How much of the software on your computer is pirated?

Uh, none of my stuff is pirated. But, uh, my friend pirates all kinds of shit. So much in fact he wears an eyepatch and he says "arrrrrrrrr" a lot.

When I had a cable modem, and before I had to reformat my hardrive, about 90% of my software was pirated. These days, I only have a few copied/stolen/downloaded programs.

Here's a question: Do you guys feel guilty? Stealing from a big, faceless corporation doesn't phaze me. That doesn't make it right....but damn, I'm not paying $60 for a computer game, y'know? What about you guys?

i've bought the Britannica 2002 encyclopedia on DVD. 4.3 GB of data would take long to download. And Red Faction, a 2 CD game. I was trying to download it from a website, but it was so slow, i gave up after 5 days or so and ordered it at amazon. But the other 98% are, um, copied.
But most of the software i download i don't use anyway. So it is not exactly stolen and i don't spread it. I would never steal anything physical, not even from a corporation. I am all for tougher controls on copyright infringement also. This is an area where law enforcement has its place not on users of AS who pay for their stuff. Prices would come down if everybody would have to pay for software. I will pay for software if everybody has to.
