I've been to a few al anon meetings in my early adulthood but honestly found it was a bunch of old women complaining every week about their drunk husbands. It was enough for me to realize I didn't want to be them and left the relationship shortly after. I read a study recently that AA doesn't have quite the success rate it claims. Interesting read.
