COX-2 inhibitors may provide alternative

New to the boards .. but saw your post...
Started my first cycle ever and then rcvd trama to lower back region and the lower two ribs were cracked even (we won't go into details)
My DOC knows what I am doing and instead of muscle relaxers he said use of Vioxx can sometime provide the relief needed and at the same time even may give added benefit to the body-builder because it's action as a COX-2 inhibtor......
They have worked for me with the spasms and other discomfort....I didn't expect much becuase when I looked it up it appears he prescribed it out of the context the FDA approved it for but research on exactly what COX-2 inhibitors do actaully explains more...
So maybe you could try these instead...

Have you tried consulting a specialist in this case DC or Ortho? Your vertebrae could be moved form it's proper biomechanical position this would create a state of undo stress on contigous spinal and paraspinal structures. This would cause a need to use muscle relaxants to relax the hypertonus muscles, but the vertebrae has still deviated from it's proper biomechanical alignment which is causing the muscle to contract in an attempt to stabilize it to it's proper position. Also, the use of Vioxx is great to inhibit cyclo-oxygenase-2 (COX-2). But COX-2 is respnsible for prostigladin release for an acute inflamatory reaction; which creates vasodialaton, aids in release of histamine for increased blood flow. Acetyl Salicylic Acid (Aspirin) is capable inhibiting the COX-2 reaction as well, just don't overdose and inhibit COX-1 which is responsible for gastric mucous secretion to prevent ulcers. Sounds like your case may be more of a chronic condition. Check out one of the specialists above so you don't have to chug pills to stay out of pain.;)

Thanks George but I'm flyin Natty still.
When I peak out I'll consider it.
That and my shoulder is giving me the bump so I might be doing it before then.

My back is about as straight as it can get now.
I'll add link.

Thanks for the tip on the Vioxx - I'll look into it!

George -- would it be possible to get more disk space for Cleaner's Place?
