pimples and acne

theres prolly a million threads all ready but i want my own. im on my 4th day of really trying to get rid of this acne. i always shower at least 2 times a day somtimes 4..ive tried otc washes n stuff and they never worked for me, i have acne off cycle and during, oil skin and cystic ers i jus learned to live with it...but this last outbreak i said enough, i ordered some acuutane and started researching mosty on thesourcecheck.com some good folks over there! one bro swore nizoral shampoo used on the acne cleared him up and on anouther thread b-5 did it so i started googling an found out that some actually believe b-5 is more efective than acutane....im dosing it at 10 grams a day of b-5 spread out threw the day and also using the shampoo and i am already way more clear and oil free... the deep cystic ones will prolly take some time but so far im really excited and just thought id share.....so ya i got some acutane comming maybe ill use it on some lab rats after all lol

ya I used to use b-5 at 10 grams a day. I remember reading a study where they used b-5 on some poor villagers in africa and had good outcomes on the reduction of acne. I used to take 10 grams a day for 3 months. And didn't notice anything really. You can try it and see how you like it but for me. accutane works WONDERS. OTC counter stuff is . Washing your body/face 3-4 times a day won't improve your condition, if anything it will overly dry your body, thus tricking your body to produce more oil. accutane does have some crazy side effects, and some swear it made them depressed. its all how you respond. best of luck. hope this helps.

What kind of sides can you get with accutane? How is it dosed and how long does it take to work? Some days my skin is clear enough to be ok and other days (most days) I'm embarassed to wear a wife beater.

accutane seems to be the best option for acne, especially in the really bad cases.

I used accutane like 6 years ago. don't remember dosage. The only side effect I can remember is sensitivity to sun exposure. Either had to wear long sleeve shirts, hats, and/or sunblock all day if in the sun. Cuz you will get burnt, blister burnt. Atleast I did. Ya i can't wear my wife beater anymore either. I"m thinking about gettting back on accutane.

a little off topic of your question but,, did you get acne bad in puberty? just wondered if that was a wives tale or not.. through puberty i never had bad acne and on cycles i dont get it bad at all either.. i will get a few more pimples here and there, but nothing bad..

yes when i was a kid i had very bad cystic acne on my face, now a days my face is clear mostly my back an chest....also to update my progress the cystic acne on my chest are going down and my back is looking very nice compared to last week...

thanks for replying i was actually wanting someone to reply that have dosed b5 at 10grams a day for a long period of time with no luck and move on to acutane...seems alot of peeps swear they tried everything but some reason i dont believe em....

ya, when it comes to that kind of acne. all that topical doesn't work. External creams, washes etc don't work. You have to start from the inside out with some sort of bacterial controlling pill. Atleast for your kind of acne. good luck. HOpes the b-5 works.
