Weddings!

I know there are quite a few women here getting married this year and I thought it would be cool to keep some sort of record of who, when and roughly where.

In addition:

Who wants to get married but hasn't discussed that step yet with their mate.

Who's hinting?

Who's looking for their mate?

Who's gone their separately ways from their mate and how are you doing?

Was "happily married" for over a decade. Took me 3 years and everything to get a divorce. That was one year ago.

Now involved in the ugliest custody battle imaginable, actually it defies all reasonable imagination.

What can I say? When I up, I up but good.

I am not sour on marriage though.... it just isn't for me.

Got married at 21 lasted for 5 years, got divorced, discovered independence is great!! (yay!) then was ready for another relationship, met man at the gym, got married & it'll be 3 years this Sept 22.....

I'm getting married October 15th.

I sure as hell wasn't looking for any sort of relationship when I started dating him 4 years ago. I was looking for a night out and maybe some snuggling. We've been through some high highs and some hellish lows-- including a multi-month split up (best thing ever to happen to us). We really had to split up for a while a couple of year ago to sort out what we wanted. We were going down different paths and there was no real sense staying in the relationship if we were moving in opposite directions.

Now all is well. We certainly have our moments but most of the time we're happy. Tonight was our usual "Monday night antiques roadshow" date and he had me laughing so much I was crying. Not too bad for being years later. I never knew that after 4 years I could be so excited to see someone at the end of the day that I got butterflies.

I've been tellin' my man we're gonna get married someday since before we even started dating! He's a chef and I LOVE to eat...I eat more than he does...So as long as he keeps my belly full! LOL
We're taking a big plunge of moving in together soon....in another country away from all of our friends and family! Which may be a good thing OR may be a bad thing...I guess we'll find out. He is a wonderful guy and the BEST thing that has happened to me!

I've found the man I love and want to marry. We've had ups and downs and are now giving a serious commitment another try. Right now, I'm taking it day by day.

I´m not married yet but we´re planning to get in next couple of years.

I don't think I will ever re-marry.... it was too ugly getting un-married. But I would truly love to be committed again.

I just have to find a way to not think that commitment = ownership. When that happens along, I assume that me and the guy will be "in the thick of it" and that will be all she wrote.

Till then I am pleased to do what I want, when I want, with whom I want... Priority is making a safe life for me and my kids. Once that is accomplished I should think everything else will take care of itself.

I'm getting married this year - November 4. We've been together for 4 years now, and I certainly didn't think we'd ever end up together. We were both just hanging out, looking for a good time then BAM we got hit in the face with love. We've had very serious ups and downs too. But we're going to do this now - we are going to Mexico to stay at a spa resort for 8 days. We get married on the 4th day of the trip in a gazebo over looking the ocean. Should be very nice. I just have to make sure I don't get burnt before the ceremony, I'd hate to be red and pealing in my pictures!!!
