Has anyone checked this out? I decided to give it a try and am not too sure about it. Seems like an awful lot of reps, overtraining? Opinions please.

I know what you're taliking about. I read it. Personally, I've never been big on the whole overtraining idea. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely possible but I think it's very hard to overtrain if you eat well and get plenty of rest and sleep. Even if you are drug free. If you're jucing, your window for optimal growth from a training stimulus really widens up. I say go for it. Let us know what you see in a few weeks on it.

Wow, cool! Thanks for the reply.
I've been pretty tired out from the work, but I HAVE seen progress. The work doesn't seem as hard as it did at first and I don't have to cut out sets or reps here and there like I did at first. "Girl problems" have slowed me down a bit but I'm pressing on regardless. I DON'T want to fall behind. I'll let you know how it's going now and then. Thanks again.

Sounds good. Chicks can interfere with anything in your life if you let them, I've been there and done that. I'm glad you're making progress. Sounds like your body is adapting to this program fairly quickly. Keep us posted.

I thought it was bullshit, I read it and they recommend never going to failure.

I don't believe in growing without going to the point of failure... also the first three months ressemble a "begginner" training split, where the reps go as high as 15 for each excercises

Just cuz it's in a magazine doesn't make it true.

It's in a magazine? Don't bother, then.

Screw the crazy magazine garbage and go squat, deadlift, and bench press. You'll grow like a weed.

I'll agree that it's a lot of sets and reps and that I don't normally go with the stuff in the mags, but this seems interesting. If you'll notice, the second 6 week stretch is more like how I'm used to lifting, as it sounds so are you. I just figured it would be interesting to try something different than the same old. You know, give my body a little different stimulus. Actually, things are going along quite well so far.

It's always good to try new things. Helps to keep your routines fresh and it also, hepls to located your niche in training and what works for you. Never be afraid to TRY something new because everything always comes back to the basics, as stated by Warik.
