I'm a former skinny person, and I got away fron all of those meal replacements years
ago in favor of frequent high protien meals.

The thing you need to do is change your metablolism.
Start by eating mid-sized meals with a good meat source like tuna, chicken turkey or beef
every 4 or 5 hours.

After a while your metabolism will begin to increase and you will actually NEED to eat
constantly to avoid excessive hunger pains.

I now eat around 5-6 K a day and can't get enough.

I eat every 3 hours usually Chicken or beef or Tuna
with some sort of starch source such as pasta, rice or bread
i also get a fiber source with most meals such as green beans
broc, peppers etc. Sometimes I also add corn or peas for extra calories.

Another calorie booster I use is MCT Oil. this is a fat like supplement
that acts as a calories source for energy. Approx 600 of my calories a
day come for this MCT oil.

So in a nut shell start eating smaller meals more frequently, and after a while
your meal size and freq will increase.

In the meantime, while you are on dbal, i would rec adding MCT oil to
your diet to increase calories. Also the ice cream with protien powder sounds like a
good short term fix but I would recomend changing your eating habits for good and constant growth.
