I had no problem getting my doc to switch me. I told him that I had bought some metaproterenol tabs in Mexico and they ruled over the stupid inhaler because I spend up to and over 4hrs sometimes on a bike in a race and I can't say 'Hey guys would you slow down while I take a hit!' Nevertheless, his eyes lit up and he said, 'That really works for you and you don't get jittery! I said no because I only take half a pill. HAHA! He scripted me out and when I got to the pharmacy and they filled it we found it wasn't covered under my med and the pharmacist said that they would switch it to albuterol tabs instead which would be covered! That's how you do it and get someone else to pay! Anarchy in the USA!
