Often it depends on the steroid, Some steroids enhance the number of T cells used to fight the virus (i.e. boosting the immune system). Such steroids as Deca Durabolin are being used by AIDS patients to reduce wasting and actually rising the T cell count a great deal. while other steroids reduce the immune systems abilities. In my opinion it would be best to discontinue a cycle if a virus is caught. Seek the advise of a physician for accurate information.
