Clomid is also an anti-estrogen when used by males. Maybe the confusion is cause by the fact
that it also can bind with estrogen receptors.
I believe (and I could be wrong, dont have the source with me at the moment) that the
estrogenic signal imparted by the clomid is much less than that of real estrogen, therefore,
it is an estrogen antagonist, in that it competes
with estrogen for the receptors.
