Its a matter of preference, the amount of body fat
& where you are injecting. Personally I like the
23 gauge, 1 inch and inject in the side of the thigh.
With the 23 gauge it takes a little more effort to
depress the plunger giving a slower injection. I like
the thigh because I can see better when I pull back
the plunger to look for blood coming into the syringe
(this means you are in a blood vessel and do not want
to inject). If you are injecting in the buttocks it
is probably better to use a 22 gauge, 1.5 inch needle.
