n the very day that I first saw your post, I had submitted for
publication in my state society's newsletter a review article on DHEA.
Obviously I can't provide it until it is published but I can do so once
it is available to the membership. With regards to it's use in AIDS
wasting syndrome, I found no evidence of its being used in that
particular area. However, in a series of AIDS patients who were taking
antiretrovirals, DHEA at 75 mg/day yielded improvements in CD4 counts of
> 25% in only 56% of patients. It still has much potential, it just
needs to be studied in the proper way! While DHEA is a precursor to the
precursor of testosterone, it also goes on to form the estrogens, thus I
would not call it anabolic in the pure sense of the word.

The article will be sent out in my area probably next week or so.
