Well,pyruvateis used in the energy cycles of the body as pyruvic acid.So the theory is that because 80% of calories burned at rest come from fat if pyruvate is ingested in larger than normal quantities that an enhancement in burning of stored b/f will take place.I have used it but only for a few days as it really busted up my gut,which is one of the side effects.
