I received an email that discussed why it would be better to use first
class mail rather than a mail service. There are pros and cons of both but
the gist of it said to use first class because there is so much volume and
because they need a warrant to search your mail. Well, if you don't think
that customs is sitting on the line with a pocketful of warrants waiting to
slap them on whatever they feel like then you are a retard. You believe that
they look at your package and then call a judge and ask for a warrant. Yea,
right. They open it and then they call if they find anything. Hell,
they yell 'search warrant' after they break your door down. Which brings
up another point. Never open your door to the cops. Talk to them through the
door because once you open up they can come in and if they have suspicions
and no search warrant, one cop can go get it while the other one stays with
you so don't ever open your door!
Onto the mail services, lets say they don't have this warrant thing. I don't
believe they are going to be searching to much as in, if they are going around
opening up confidential business mail whenever they feel like they are going
to have a lot of lawsuits. Now to the 'their volume isn't as big'. So what!
These companies usually have a deliver on time contract. Do you think they
are going to let customs hold up their planes. No, they'd be losing money as
they sat around and let customs do whatever they want. And it doesn't matter
what the volume really is because you can still assign only so many people
to look at a certain quantity of mail. So while there may be less mail there
are also less agents. Just a few points to ponder. Anarchy in the USA!
