I saw a couple of your posts regarding changing your bf over 3wk period...would you mind sharing some of what changes you made in your diet?

The body fat reduction was back in August and I had recently started working out again and was trying to keep an Atkins like diet. I asked Hardtail for advice because of the picture she posted. I gave her my exact diet. She told me to bring down my calorie intake to 1200 which she said was low but at that amount it would NOT bring my metabolism down, which looks like she was right. She said this was a short term diet and could not be used long term. I could NOT eat sugar or use sweetners or salt. Eat 6 small meals a day and drink a gallon or more of water. NO BREAD and NO PASTA. Used Balsmic Vinegar ONLY as dressing for lettuce and mushroom salad as I don't like any veggies. Drank a high protein, med carb protein drink in the AM and very low carb protein drink in the PM. Very hard to stick to a diet when you are a picky eater. No sugar free ice pops, no sugar free jello. Tuna in water washed four or five times to eliminate the excess salt. Very bland tasting food could only use, oregano, cumin, garlic, lemon as seasonings and very little onions. I accidently deleted the diet from my computer a few months back or I would have attached it.

I was doing cardio, 30mins 3x a week. I went from 17.7% b/f to 14.4% b/f in three weeks. Couldn't keep the diet any longer to hard for me to stick to, but it worked. I have been able to maintain at the 14+/-, last time checked I was 14.7% @ 136lbs. on 1/22/01, and am eating a lot more calories now and not doing any cardio since November.

Yowweeee....strict!!! But it works! If I could do that a week, I'd be lucky. But I would certainly love the quick results! Keeping cals low like that for a short period of time shouldn't hurt anything, you are right. In fact I just read an article about "cycling" calories...2 weeks low, 2 weeks high to keep your metabolism guessing. Are you going to do that diet plan again when you cut down?

Yeah, I think I got the trick to it. I have a cheat meal on every third day, that way it doesn't get so boring so quick. I am going to start with the diet not so strict for the first 2 weeks, then 2nd 2weeks add in cardio starting at 30 min 3 x a week, 3rd 2 weeks will tighten on the diet and add E/C/A stack. This should bring me down rather nicely. I'll try it and see what I get. If after 6 weeks not where I want to be will add in Clen to help get me where I want to be.

Your taste buds get used to the bland taste so after you finish this diet everything you afterwards tastes really sweet and/or really salty.

I can't really eat chips or pretzels which I used to love anymore way too salty. The sweet stuff easier to get used to but can't eat the REALLY sweet stuff either. I usually buy things that are sugar free or sweetned with Equal. Regular sugar stuff is just too sweet NOW.

You are SO right about your tastebuds adjusting. I don't like a lot of things anymore because my tastes have changed. Especially if you are eating clean for a while and then you go out to eat...ewww...salt and grease!

Thanks for the info...I might try this at the tail end of my cycle to really tighten things up.
