I know this is a womens discussion, but hey, you all seem very knowledgable. I am 24yrs old, male, and 200lbs 25% bodyfat. is it necessary to get ripped to get noticed? Facially, I already know I am pretty good, does it need to go further? The reason I ask is, I have tried everything to get ripped, but to no avail. My last resort is going to be to synthetics. I have a fear of side effects, I have an extremely high sex drive already(Not saying this to be funny) it could be a problem without anyway to relieve the drive.
This is not just for womens attention, but for myself as well, I love the look of being ripped, and it helps with the confidence level. This would ultimately be for my own personal empowerment.

I would appreciate some help here.
Thanks ladies!

My diet:
40/30/30
cardio 20 min 5 times per week.
weights every other day, usually I work one bodypart per week.

Okay, this is all a matter of personal opinion, right??!!

personally, I don't liked big buffy men. Physically fit, yes, but big muscle cuts---no!
To each their own. I have a sis-in-law who says "the bigger the better" but not me!!

Actually, I carry all 200lbs very proportionately, for example;32" waist, 46" chest...blah blah, you get the idea. Its just that I would rather be cut all over, rather than look like I have thick skin.
we all know that it is the first look, that we innitially notice someone. You find out more about that person as things progress. As far as getting rid of the fat, any suggestions?

one more nieve question. Are women in bodybuilding more attracted to bodybuilding type men, and if so , why. I personally find a woman who is somewhat muscular very sexy. I just havent found any who would date me. To be honest I guess I havent seen to many really athletic women. Huh, I may have answered my own question.

Let me understand, you got a 32 inch waist and your 25%, 200 lbs? Are you 7 foot tall?

You must have one big ass Bro....32 inch waist.....that's damn good, I wish mine was a 32 again....gotta settle for a 34 though...heh heh heh....hit the cardio for an hour in the morning before breakfast....drop your carbs way down, and don't take any carbs after 4pm....hit the cardio for 30minutes in the evening, and you'll see results....25% didn't happen overnight....won't go away overnight either....

As far as the women, let ole Ranger offer a bit of advice....Make damn sure you make them feel like a woman, first and foremost....they may be Wives, Mothers, Girlfriends...etc. But they are women(God Bless them) and deserve to feel that way....

Become their friend....you gotta be friends to have anything from then on out....and last but not least....heh heh heh

Manners....Chew with your mouth closed(Laugh, but I see guys not doing this), Listen to what she has to say, be interested in her conversation, smile and ask her opinion(It does count quite alot)!!! Look her in the eye, it's important to let her know that you're interested in her values...seat the lady first, rise if she has to go powder her nose, and rise again when she returns, and don't talk about your body or training, we're already sterotyped and we do tend to go on for a good while about our bench, squat, and deadlifts,...heh heh heh.....you may not think this, but manners are a forgotten thing with most....heh heh heh heh

Now Ole Ranger has gotta practice what he preaches....heh heh heh

you gotta remember, i am not completely nieve to the human body. If you dont take hgh, your bones stay the same size. unless you are "high waisted," your hips stay the same size, I am not wearing my pants at my belly button, I wear them on my hips where they are meant to be worn. I am not saying that I dont have bit of a gut, because I do. All be it a small one.
The facts stay the same, I am still far from cut, can anyone help.

Facts are facts, Even if I was 3% bodyfat, I may have a 31" waist but it wouldnt be much less than that. I stil want to get ripped, any help here?

to the ranger,

I am a midwestern man at heart. I know how to treat a lady (no disrespect intended bro). I live in Phoenix now, the game has changed, I have yet to meet a man who knows how a lady should be treated,On the other hand, there are a lot of $30,000 millionares here that are women. Just want me for money. It just seems that the effort is going unnoticed these days. I love women and treat them in the highest respect, as they well deserve as you said. That is not the problem, I meet quanity of women, just not quality women. thats all I want emotionally is a woman who is compatible. It is a bonus obviously if she is the physical equivalent of that also, but I am confident she is out there if I am just patient. I will state, I will date a million women if thats what it takes. I want to avoid the marriage mistake,( that is to settle for a woman you are unsure of(or man), I think that women appreciate that honesty and respect, Just want the right ONE). Ladies, am I wrong?

By the way, I am new to this whole discussion board, but the honest opinions are phenominal. I am a big boy, I can handle any types of criticisms. You all have a great day and again I am still looking for advice on cutting some more fat.( yes I am genetically gifted, but this bit of fat is a sin that I have to rid myself of to reach my goals.)

Just like guys...women have their idea of the perfect man. My boyfriend and I both work out. As a matter of fact he was the one who got me working out. He doesn't have a ripped stomach but wants one and is working to get one, but I don't like them. I personally think it is sexy for a man to be a little thick in the abs. It's just a matter of opinion. To each their own.

You are going to get several opinions cause every woman is different. We all like different things, have different interests etc. I myself like big muscular men, and yes I am training to compete and so I am into lifting hard and all that stuff. That doesnt mean I don't like men who are in shape and maybe not so big. Its all about confidence and liking who you are. Its accepting and loving yourself, and then others will notice you You will never please every woman, like a woman will never please every man. A lot of men do not like muscular women and so on. You have to find what is best for you. What makes you comfortable and happy. Women love a man who has a sense of humor, confidence, and has goals and aspirations in life. A best friend and a lover. As far as getting ripped.....Its all diet, cut back on the carbs, no simple carbs or the junk foods. Hit the cardio for 30-45 minutes 4-5 days a week. Hit the weights heavy and hard. Make sure you are eating small frequent meals, this will boost your metabolism, also drink tons and tons of WATER!!! Have you tried an ECA stack or some sort of fat burner???? Just be yourself and let it happen.

If we're just talking aesthetics only here, my personal preference is for men who have a medium amount of muscle and low enough body fat that you can see some definition in the shoulders, pecs, bis and thighs. Visible abs are nice, but certainly not required. Big muscles can be sexy too, but it depends on the man. The only thing that is sort of a turnoff for me is a really skinny man (because it makes me feel fat even though I'm really not !) I enjoy doing a lot of sports other than bodybuilding and want that in a boyfriend/husband as well.

Truthfully though, the sexiest thing about a man is his personality. You can see right through the looks in about 2 seconds. My personal favorites are genuine respect of others, personal integrity, and a sense of humor. That's assuming that all the bases are covered for hygiene! No matter how gorgeous, nice, (or even rich) a man is, if he has B.O., bad breath, hair coming out his nose or ears, unkempt fingernails, or yellow teeth, then I'm sorry, there's no chance at all.

I met my husband when I wasn't looking for anyone (and he wasn't either). We're both very independent and were both enjoying being single too. We each were busy with our various lives, jobs, and hobbies. So many people kept telling me all the things I needed to do and places I needed to go if I was going to meet a man. I was 29 at the time. I didn't feel right doing these things and figured any man I met wouln't be right either if I wasn't being the real me.

My mother even told me "He's not going to show up on your doorstep." And I told her "Well, he'll just have too." That's when fate stepped in. I met him at a party given by a mutual friend. We both hate parties, and both thought about skipping it. For some reason we went. We met and found we had many common interests. We also found out we lived on the SAME STREET - not quite my doorstep, but prettty darn close!!!! That was nearly eight years ago. One of the hobbies we enjoy is working out. We don't train together, but we're there at the same time. So, my advice is do what you enjoy and meet someone with common interests. I'm a big believer in fate!

o.k. human psyche aside, first impressions are what gets the call. I have a good sense of humor, extremely ethical, stable job security.Whoopie, who cares, hasnt found me the woman I want.

I dont have the body I want, and please tell me if I'm wrong, but the average woman wants to SEE a man who is 5'10-6'2 who is approx, 190-200lbs and is ripped, am I right. That would classify him as mens health cover material right?

I am not trying to sound all knowing, just want a straight answer.

The Ideal physique, what women dream their man to be? (cause I want to be that guy.)

Thanks again ladies

Women want different things from men. There are plenty of handsome and well built men out there who also have not found the woman they're looking for. For me (and many women) there needs to be some initial attracting feature, and often this is physical. I admit I'm shallow enough to be attracted to the sight of a well proportioned athletic man. But no way is that gonna get me in bed with him! If the smile, the personality, sense of humor, shared interests, etc... aren't there then he's just a pin-up as far as I'm concerened. The same should apply to you. Unless you want a string of one night stands and short term relationships, then you don't want or need a woman to be attracted to you only for your body. Bodies change, grow old. What's inside is the only thing that can keep you together. However, a nice body is more likely to catch that woman's eye across a crowded room so you can make the initial connection!
