When you stop using creatine, will most of what you had gain start to disappear?

The max I've heard anyone gaining with creatine is 10lbs, but it's usually lower, around 2-6lbs...

You will lose some of the weight, but some of it should stay as permanant gains if you've been training and eating properly.

The first time I used Creatine back in 1992 I gained 15 lbs in just over 3 weeks then only about 3 more in the month following that. I lost about 5 lbs when I stopped. I have used it so much now and I only use it between cycles and I gain about 3-4 pounds when I do. (This is about 2-3 times a year.) I usually keep 2 of those it seems.

Creatine+McDonalds = 22lbs. Dude you're not going to gain 22lbs in a month on anything but the juice. Unless it's all fat. But I know it's not muscle.

not a big fan of creatine. you can get creatine from eating food. when i took creatine i became bloated and looked like a water buffalo in the face, you retain water on it , but some people swear by it , also i have heard of people becoming injury prone while taking this supplement, personally i have no use for it

I think most of the people that get bloated from creatine, take it with too much simple carbs. Try taking it by itself.

Yeah you can get creatine from food. Red meat is the best source, but you would have to be eating a lot of it in order to even get 5 grams. I like Effervescent Creatine, but another good creatine that product that I enjoyed was Anavol-R, but it costs a lot of money. I love Muscle Link products, but the real good ones are very pricey.

I said it before, I'll say it again.

CREATINE IS NOT ALL THAT GOOD!

It's expensive, it tastes like shit, you need to take it frequently...

NO WAY, NEVER, NOT POSSIBLE 22lbs (10 kilos).

I got these sorts of gains after my last heavy Sust/Deca cycle 3 years ago.

Oh yeah and I kept most of it

Well Julez,
Where does it say that creatine has to taste good in order to produce results? Creatine is expensive? Depends what kind of creatine you're purchasing. Powder creatine is very cheap. Creatine transports can get pricey. Obviously creatine didn't work for you, but what makes you think that it wouldn't work for everyone else? You didn't state that, but you're knocking the supplement. You're right, you do have to take it frequently, just like almost anything else. When you're dieting don't you have to eat frequently in order to produce good gains? Sorry if it sounds like I'm putting you down, but I don't see the problem with taking something frequently. I don't believe you have to take it that frequently. Maybe for the loading phase if you include one. I'm not saying that creatine will work for everyone. Your posts just seem very closed minded. And 22 pounds of muscle gain does seem impossible. But keep this in mind. If he did gain 22 pounds was it all from creatine? Probably not. A combination of productive workouts, dieting, good amounts of rest and genetics delievered the gains. I did the Size Surge diet a few years ago and I supplemented with creatine and meal replacements. I gained a total of 40 pounds in three months. 15 pounds of it was water, but the rest stayed. It wasn't fat gain, because I had my bodyfat tested every week to make sure that I wasn't gaining any fat. I actually lost 2% of my bodyfat. The 25 pounds came from weight training, diet, supplements and most importantly genetics.

Hmm...The only person I heard of who gained more than the standard 5-10 pounds of weight was a girl who was loading her creatine and then found out she had gotten pregnant, she actually gained 24 pounds. I am not making any accusations, just stating what I know. So, I guess 22lbs is not out of the realm of possibility.

Creatine has helped me out before - gained close to 7 pounds. The bigger I have gotten the less I seem to gain with it though. I'd rather spend the limited amount of cash I have on either gear or protien!

I'm with livinlarger. Most people gain about 5 punds quickly-looking on the scale only, and thinks DAMN this is great! (WATER; WATER; WATER) go 'of' the creatine, and the 5 pounds does to.

I believe you can gain 22 pounds in that time WITH and WITHOUT creatine, but NOT without food

to the one that said that you will look better at weighing 200 something pounds compared to 180 or whatever pounds..i think you are a dumb shit..by the way,,i believe creatine helps some in some cases but you should eat very great indeed..don't just eat anything you see for you will look like shit..i hate 3300 calories daily in the right percentages of fat, protein, and carbohydrates and was on creatine and anabolic andro stack and i gained great amounts in 2 months..i looked better and bigger than people 20 or more lbs more than me..so, don't give me that crap..anyway,,good luck in getting all that fat off if you are the one that said it doesn't matter rather it is fat or not..you must be shooting in the ass to get it off so quickly..thanks again

Yeah I agree. I think people at 180 look better than people at 200. It is all Body Fat.

180 @ 6% 169.2lbs LBM
200 @ 15% 170lbs LBM

The 180lb person will look way better.

Weight isn't everything LBM is.
