Can you fall asleep easily, or is this also an issue?? I posted a similar question (just do a search) and found BackDoc's advise to be the most helpfull, although I still haven't followed through with his suggestion. (Ahh, the art of putting something off until tomorrow......) He suggested something called Water oz. Right now I'm still taking Melatonin, which works fairly well for me. However; my problem has been falling asleep, not waking up. L-tryptophan might be another option, there was a recent post on it by Havoc (I think, at least he had the most to say about it.) GL.

bro there is this stuff by gnc called sleep formula(in the blue glass bottle)it has kava-kava, melatonin and 5-htp simply put it will knock your ass out. But if you still wake up at night take advantage and eat some protein while you are up at the very least it will feed those fasting muscles.

Cytodyne's Z-Mass PM helps me sleep. I haven't noticed much strength or size, but I sleep like a baby. ZMA is supposed to help, that's what I heard.

You can always drink a cup of warm half and half. Kidding. But I do agree that zinc helps. I sometimes have a cup of one of those sleep-time blend teas. It could just be the fact that I'm sipping on a warm beverage, but I think they do sometimes help. Of course, if I drink too much water too late in the day, I have to wake up to take a leak, but I usually fall right back asleep.

maybe you just have insomnia. Your case sounds a bit extreme, i know some people have problems sleeping but when it becomes chronic, if that's what you have, you might want to conider seeing a doc. If you've exhausted resources, go see the doc. You need to try to go to sleep and wake up at same time, every day. And make room comfortable as possible. And figure out all your problems before u go to bed, if not you gonna be sittin there thinkin and worrying. You need to do this before u see the doc b/c this is what he'll ask you.

007's right. The biggest factor in keeping a person up at night (in my unprofessional opinion) is thinking about the day's problems. If your affairs aren't in order, you'll have a tough time sleeping no matter what you take.

I heard that waking up in the middle of the night, and not going back to sleep is a magnesium deficiency, so I would definitely try the ZMA.

zma is a good start, i personally suggest you buy the mg/zn pills it's a lot cheaper. But bottom line try everything you can to be mentally the most calm u can be. Doc's are hesitant to prescribe stuff, and that's more temporary anyway. For long term benefit you need to try what we recommended. Post back with hopefully some progress....

try going to see a chiropracter, your spine could be pinching a sleep function nerve. i used to wak up 5-7 times every night to piss, it turns out that my lower portion of the spine that controls sleep and bladder functions were pinching and causing nerve irritation, therefore causing it to release nerve messeges half-hazardly. i dont know if this is you problem but maybe its worth checking it out?
